Der Begriff VERLUSTKONTROLLE erschließt sich erst auf den zweiten Blick. Es geht nicht um Kontrollverluste, sondern um Protokolle von Verlusten. Dem GLITCH kommt bei dieser Reflexion der Kontrolle von Verlusten eine wichtige Signalfunktion zu. Zwar kann er den Informationsverlust selbst nicht sichtbar machen, aber der GLITCH ist ein Indikator für systemische Defizite, undokumentierte Funktionen und Sollbruchstellen im Digitalen und Nicht-Digitalen. Als solche können GLITCHES Einblicke in unerkannte Eigenschaften der beteiligten Systeme und Prozesse geben, potentiell ist ihnen sogar ein Wissen um Reparaturmöglichkeiten eingelagert. Intentionale GLITCHES können somit gesellschaftliche Brüche visualisieren, ihr Schatten ermöglicht Tarnung, Mimikry, subtile Camouflage.

The term CONTROL OF LOSS unfolds in all its scope after a while of reflection. It's not about loss of control. It's about aiming for a protocol of loss. The GLITCH has an important signaling function in this reflection of loss control. The GLITCH itself cannot make the loss of information visible. Rather, the GLITCH is an indicator of systemic deficits, undocumented functions and breaking points in the digital and non-digital sphere. As such, GLITCHES can provide insights into unrecognized properties of the systems and processes involved. They may even have knowledge of repair options. Intentional GLITCHES can thus visualize social fractures. Their shadow allows for camouflage, mimicry and camouflage.
